Is there a fix to the minidump error?
Whenever I try to load my game I get a minidump error. I've tried verifying game files but it says everything's alright, do I need to re-install the game or something?

It seems it was just that specific game that caused the error, I started a new game with the same faction and it loaded just fine. I'll leave this thread open for if anyone knows what happened though.
It happened again, I will re-install the game and see if it fixes anything.

A minidump error is just the generic "Something bad happened error". If you're getting it a lot and randomly in game, perhaps try reducing your ship/structure/planet detail settings.

I'll try that if I get another error, but I'm not sure why my game that I've been playing longer, built more ships on, and takes place on a bigger map isn't getting the error.

Try installing the large address aware should fix that problem

I already had that installed for Sins of a Galactic Empire. It might be what fixed it actually, it hasn't crashed since I've re-installed the game.

Are you running in windows 10? I have started seeing a lot of minidumps after I began playing on a win 10 box (new build) and in all of my years playing it never crashed (from what I remember).

So, I guess it's just another issue with the old engine. The good news is they are still patching so hopefully they will have a fix - assuming it is related to that.

Nah I'm still on Windows 8.1.

Are you playing on large maps with lots of factions?

In my experience the game tends to run out of memory if you try to play extra long games with large fleet sizes.

Yeah it was a 8 player match on a large map. Ever since the re-install it seems to have fixed itself though.

Well as long as it works now...
