shuriken corvette?

i am thinking of making a gigantc fleet out of shuriken corvettes for fun i am wondering if they will actualy be usefull?

Corvettes can be a very powerful unit. They are often used competitively both early game combined with Light Frigates and late game where in large numbers they can defeat titans, since they are mostly immune to their abilities.

no way will it be usefull against AN INTELIGENT PLAYER all he would have to do is have the bomborder capitol ship and he could wipe a good 70 of them out and fighters wont be your freind

You can wipe out most frigates with a Marza too, and not everyone plays TEC.

Its fun until the game starts choking on all those little fighters. The game can only run one core of your system and so too many items on the map can cause.......

Corvette swarms are great if you want to kill an enemy titan or Long Range Frigates (LRFs). However if your opponent sees what you're producing and builds the counter (flaks, light frigates) then they won't do real well.

Ive noticed in by using corvettes instead of light frigate in the very early game that flak frigates will shred corvettes. 100 flak would almost definitely beat 300-400 corvettes

Considering flak is a hard counter to corvettes thats to be expected.

It depends on what you're up against. A friend of mine also loves corvette spam (as any race really, they are all pretty devastating if you pick the right targets). But again, it depends on who you pick a fight with. If you pick a fight with an Ankylon titan that's equipped with a decent level Disruption Matrix, chances are you're just feeding him cannon fodder.

On the other hand, the Ragnarov if flanked, will go down very fast. But it's best to support Corvettes with other ships anyway like carriers or caps or whatnot since they're clearly not going to get the job done alone.

Edit: Waait, my bad. Disruption Matrix doesn't target corvettes. However, an Ankylon titan is still likely to survive on its own, as long as it's not an Acolyte corvette they're facing since they can use Inspire and Impair or Furious Defense/Group Shield that makes it a very good matchup against all other corvettes.
