Which race is the best and worst?
I need to find a best one to play for a win and want to fight the easy one any ideas which race counters the other one. I lost and can't win the game. My best capital ships and titan can't defeat the enemy which I am not sure what the race was but their ships sucked up my ships weapons and all my ships got wrecked by them so my ships don't do any damage to them which sucks. That is why I am asking for some help on the races in this game and which is the best and worst to play?

each race is strong in their own right, T.E.C is the weakest ship wise i believe but to win engagements, you must have sound strategy, solid supply lines that are backed up by defenses and a stable economy. to play T.E.C effectively, you must know its weakness's and strengths, repair ships with a solid base of LRM's and cobalts as a center with whatever capital ship you start with, cielo command ships for buffs, and kodiaks to sweep the lesser enemy ships away go toe to toe with the bigger alien vessels. another big thing is where you commit your ships, don't ram them into a starbase or a ton of defenses, no matter how big your fleet is, fixed defenses with repair stations will win out, especially if there is a fleet engaging you too, pick your engagements, if its unavoidable, each race has long range bombardment ships, use them to break through the defenses at range to minimize losses, if you dont have these, destroy repair stations first. Dont know if this was even remotely helpful, but here you go.

thanks

Remember to put support type ships into your fleet and this goes for all factions. A full offensive fleet no matter how hard you spam those ships will die fast to boosted enemies of comparatively smaller sizes.

Also spamming capital ships will not win you a battle in most cases and will only drag your economy completely to a standstill.

I've always played TEC. It just makes much more sense to me naming wise and looks wise lol.

Tec are the easiest all round. Advent rely on larger fleets and culture wich then are much harder to defeat. Vasari are sneaky basterds wich will want to backstab more often and get more income of attacking (bounty collection + capital ships gather income when are in a gravity well wich enemy buildings or capital ships are destroyed).

Tec are straight forward the best to start with but skilled players can make advent and especially vasari alot more stronger over tec if they can cripple tec's economy. Find out your playstyle and sees what goes best. Also know that a match vs ai will never be anything like a match in multiplayer.

TEC are your standard all around tanky faction. Great economy, solid all around ships. Plus I love the autocannons. Nothing overly complex about them.

Asari are your guerilla warfare hit and run faction that can just skip heavily fortified spots and hit you where it hurts. Not designed for prolonged engagements or "fair" engagements, have lots of sneaky tricks about them. Also nothing like phasing in a starbase into a contested enemy sector.

Advent are stop them early or you never will late game faction with some insane synergy on their cap ships. They by far have the best culture as well, if you want to go that route. They get nigh invincible in their own culture with the cap ships all supporting each other.

The sub factions of each usually come down to more offence focus or defence focus.

It's really well balanced.

If you're a newbie like myself, TEC are great to learn with. As other people have said though, you need to balance your fleets with support alongside firepower. Especially with Titans knocking around.

Advent>TEC
TEC>Vasari
Vasari>Advent

The reason for the above is due to phase missiles(which do HP damage as well as shield damage), the advent have lowest armour and HP which means the vasari cause them more problems.
The TEC have the most HP and armour which means they do better against the vasari but struggle against the stronger shields(and higher shield regeneration) of the advent.
The Vasari are in the middle of armour and HP but have phase missiles.

The advent have the best capital ship sinergy, this means that their capital ships work better together.
The TEC cap ships don't work so well together but have better frigates, cruisers and support ships(the hoshiko is the best support ship in the game), what makes their lesser ships better is debatable but they are cheaper and with certain techs can be produced more quickly.
The Vasari are in the middle with good capital ship sinergy and decent lesser ships.

I think the vasari are the best due to phase missiles, kortul devastator, egg, damage techs and phase stabilisers but they are all very well balanced and its what happens in the game that counts more than most things.

Early game: Advent>Tec>Vasari
Mid game: Tec>Vasari>Advent
Lategame: Vasari>Advent>Tec
Very lategame: Advent>Vasari>Tec

With all settings set to fastest:
early game means before min 30
mid game means from min 30 to min 90
late game means from min 90 to min 150
very late game means from min 150 to infinity.

but since you are new, i suppose you play on default normal speed settings, so it would be something like:
early game until 1 hour
mid game until 3 hours
late game until 6 hours
very late game starting from 6 hours of game play

The game balance flips over and over. But if you want some decent help, you really should give more details. At least which enemy did you face. You can find that in diplomacy menu.

Imo easiest enemy to fight is advent. If you have broadcast stations up you can negate there superweapon.

Tec is a pain to play against as there supers just keep knocking you off your planets.

Easy to play is tec as all the names for tech and ships make sense. You dont have to read every single description to see what stuff does.

So for me easy win is tec vs advent with you as tec :)

There is an upgrade for starbase which neglects TEC superweapon. So in the end, Advent superweapon is the most useful.

Great info, from all of you guys, thanks alot. If I, continue to have a problem, I will give you more info on my problems with this great space game.
Pisku Nov 27, 2018 @ 6:49am
When playing against AI, advent rebel is very easy to play.
Try to get out Eradica titan as soon as possible and max out “Chastic Burst” ability and you are golden after that.
SkyRiderJM Nov 27, 2018 @ 3:57pm
(Pisku) I will give it a try thank you.
