Should gravity wells be larger?
I remember the first time I loaded up mod SOGE and loved the increased gravity well sizes.
I hope that in Sins 2 the scale between ships and planets are a little more realistic.

Realistic? I don't know, I have never done a hyper jump to a planet's gravity well before in real life. Also, the area is just fine. There are some that are smaller or larger from effects but overall its like this due to travel time and consideration of attacking/defending. Just think about it. If you where moving your fleet between 6 or so jumps to reach a planet that's under attack or some other prime objective, if those gravity wells where more realistic, then it would take way longer. Sure, there might be as better mechanic, maybe picking a spot as an option on entry on a larger gravity well, but lets also consider just how OLD this game is. Also, if there is a mod you like, then id just stick to it or make some maps, its not hard.

i think some planet types could do with a larger gravety well like terren and desert.

I think it would slow the game play down and make traversing those gravity wells tedious and annoying.

I'm not sure SoGE actually makes the gravity wells bigger.

It mostly makes the ships smaller.

At one point they (I think it was SoGE) did try increasing the gravity well sizes (or even more so than they are now). It caused significant lag on the game. Turns out bigger gravity wells means more work for the pathfinding code. So they had to make the ships smaller.

So I'm afraid I have to vote no as well, since it's apparently bad for performance, which is far more important.
