But to answer your question, you can find your new directory the game is looking for by hitting the "Show Mod Path" button on the mod tab. Go one fold up from that and you should have a "MapDesigner" folder. That is where you need to put maps generated with the in game map designer.
Your old one would be at a similar location on the other drive. For me on Windows 10 it should be something like "Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\MapDesigner". Note that one or more of these folders may be hidden, so turn on view hidden folders if you cannot find it.
thanks for the reply. i'll go look at it as soon as i can be bothered to plug my old ssd back in. in the meantime, i guess i'll just have to play something else, it's not like i don't have enough games (spoiler: i don't. there is no such thing as "enough games") lol
