Is Resource Focus broken?

Playing as Advent, the AI cant seem to get the trade pathways I want. I have trade buildings in several planet systems, and I have resource focus enabled.. But doing this screws up the trade network as the computer thinks these trade buildings are part of the network even though I have them set on resource focus

Yes this is a bug/feature. Even trade ports set to resource focus will be accounted as in trade line.

Actually resource focus is a decent counter decission, when your enemy happens to spam a lot of novalith cannons. And novalith means a tec player, so this is a nice boost, against the arch nemesis of advent, which is pretty cool.

Imho, the resource focus should still be buffed, as even in niche situation it's just a bit better, than the non-resource focus.
