And why you don't post this on the mod forum instead of steam forum of the main game?

There are other SW mods... However what version of the game are you using 4.11.1? This mod spans several years of time. The modders have put in alot of hard work, if you find issues maybe goto their discord and help point them out, your initial comment leaves... well anyways https://discord.gg/VYRC6HT.

Fortunately, the game is just fine without mods. It's also your best bet for finding online multiplayer games.

If you want a Star Wars mod that is more similar to vanilla Sins balance, check out my Star Wars Interregnum mod.

I can vouch for this. Interregnum is a very good mod, and GoaFan is still working on it.

I mean, even the devs of the game have highlighted GoaFan's work. (He made the E4X mod, which Interregnum is essentialy an extention of.)

I have played it, Been involved withone of the SoGE Tournaments in the Past. It's fun when you know what to do and what Faction to play. What part of it is imbalanced? The AI?

well yeah the AI obviously has some big advantages but i just find the tech trees to be rubbish and the the new gameplay to be nonsense.

When playing the AI in SoGE, the income disparity at the start is larger, allowing the AI to mass a fleet much earlier than the player can (even compared to the base game). Add to that the fact that defences are much weaker in SoGE than normal Sins (compared to ships), and it makes early game very unbalanced. To make things worse, the AI cant make an economy even half as well as it can in base Sins, so the AI goes from overpowered early game to total weaksauce mid game (the AI literally starts at 50 and goes to 0 by mid game, while the player starts at 0 and gets stronger).

However, player vs player its just fine.

Sadly the AI is 100% hardcoded, so all the tweaks we have made to the AI impact all AI types
The choice we had was between a braindead AI and a challenging AI, and we have opted for the latter."

the AI is still brain dead, they just have an income advantage early game. and tbh early game wins game most of the time.

the difficulty doesn't change anything, AI always has an insane start bonus

So the Empire has a larger fleet and you're having to use some magical powers to overcome that challenge to help the Rebellion win?

Have you never seen Star Wars?
