There are many many mods. Are they up to date with 1.9 not sure on that the update just released.
To mod download, unzip put it in your sins of a solar empire folder then run the game options mods and enable it. Typically the mods will tell you to do it a certain way with a checksum number so you know its correct. Just read the readmes or instructions on how to install.

Those are all AAA Quality Mods, and you can play them jsut fine right now
BTW, when reading any of the instructiuos for the mods......jsut DO NOT INSTALL/USE the LAA TOOL as the new update maakes that pointless, so skip that.
Just Unzip and Throw the mods into the "Mods-Rebellion v1.85" folder and they will work.
As far as activating them goes, this is something i posted to reddit a while back when someone asked how to switch which mods are active.
The Enabledmods.txt file highlighted in red is what controls which mods are active[i.imgur.com]
"what i recommend doing is dragging that file (EnabledMods) into your Star-trek Armada 3 Mod folder, and creating a new one for SotP. whenever you want to switch out which mod is active just move the Enabledmods.txt around/into the mod folder it belongs to.
ONLY the Enabledmods.txt in the MAIN Mod directory as seen in the above link will actually do anything, so having copy's for specific mods inside their respective folder will not cause you any problems Example here
notice the Enabledmods.txt is inside the Star-Wars Interregnum folder, and when i want to play it i just copy it back to the main mod directory. "
