I'll do everything I can to get make this fight more balanced in the next update.
I was using a vehicle but I still wasn't doing the damage I should have been doing. Mental's Institution chipped away a bit and then nothing much else. With Serious Damage, it chipped away a bit more and then another stifle. By the time it was closing in, I had it almost down to 80% health left and then I had to bail. I managed to beat it, but it required a lot of Give All spamming to do it. I'm very sure I was hitting the jewel too. I thought something was wrong with the hit detection at first, but once I toggled ghost and got up into its face, I knew that wasn't the case.
I'm going to include one small change to one of the enemies you fight during the battle in the next update. I think it will be just enough to make it just a little bit easier to finish, but just a little bit ;)
I said I was using the hovercraft but it was doing about as much damage as if I was using my minigun on it. A few minor chips off of Mental Institution's health and then it slowed. I was expecting to take 1% of it's health per second with plenty of time to dodge attacks and destroy the complex before it caves me in. It went from 1% to 0.01%. I've watched youtube videos of how it's done and compared them to my experience. The damage ratio they had was way ahead of mine. Some of them did use a Serious Damage item and so did I but my experience didn't change much. I even used two.
This might be a stupid question, but what color are the projectiles that are being fired by the hover craft? They should be orange. This sounds like you are using one of the hover craft spawned before the last fight with Mental, and not the special one that gets spawned right before the fight begins.
Orange? Crap. Mine were blue. I didn't know I was supposed to use the other hovercraft. I thought it was just a spare. I guess I wasn't thinking clearly. I blame it on last weekend for being really stressful for me. Sorry about that.
Great game. But the developer responsible for Mental Institution boss should be held accountable!!! :D
example if u use wasd as your move keys: wasdwasdwasd
and as for his jets, lead your shots by aiming in front of them and also be closely in front of mental (without getting crush) so you have wider line of sight of the jets
as a side note try to conserve your health power ups for your vehicle
once you master that hes a breeze tho his jets that shoot lazers are a bit tricky , also have collective consceiness playing in the backround
