I began with Froggy G. He is very mobile, has great escapes and I didn't find him hard to play at all.

Characters you should probably avoid for now are Ayla, Genji and Derpl. Ayla is risky to play if you don't know the game that well yet, Genji can seriously hurt the team by cocooning the enemies at the wrong times (teammates wasting all nukes) and Derpl can be tricky to use due to immobility in siege mode.

Froggy, Lonestar, Clunk, Leon and Raelynn are probably good because they're kind of simple. If you decide to play Leon, do NOT run around stealthed for 5 minutes as that doesn't help the team at all, though. Try to focus on the tongue to pull enemies out of position instead.

Good luck, have fun and don't let the a-holes ruin the game for you!

I had huge success playing gnaw when i was new. Most new players don't know how to stop him. :) The most important thing you should do as a new player is to avoid the lower Leagues. Try to always be above league 5, this way you will have more fair games & more fun. You can join&leave games to do this.

Good luck & have Fun!~ :dsfight:

I found Froggy G a great starting guy, try him using Merrick's guide http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=149185292 and read it first then follow the build, it really helped me

If you are playing with Froggy G, I advise you to upgrade each abilities for a skill at least once before upgrading another. I usually upgrade Splash Dash then Tornado :).

I'm still relatively new, but been having pretty good luck playing Gnaw, I like his mobility, and am still figuring out how best to use his powers.

Gnaw, Lonestar, and Derpl are all pretty easy character to play though Derpl does drop off a bit in higher ranks.

From easy to more skill:
Gnaw, Voltar, Leon, Yuri, Ayla, Lonestar, Froggy G, Genji, Clunk, Coco, Raelynn, Skolldir, Vinnie and Spike, Derpl

Gnaw, Ayla, Coco, and Vinnie and Spike are all about area control personally, think of it like herding. (Scissors)

Lonestar, Clunk, Skolldir, and Derpl are all about Presence. You deal it, and you serve it well. (Rock)

Voltar, Yuri, and Genji youre there for support, be it extra damage, giving the brawlers survivability, or helpping the control freaks. (Paper)

Leon, Froggy G, and Raelynn these guys are like Jack of all Trades, these guys have a little bit of the rest, they can be in your face, make it harder for you to attack allies (debuffs). They can do so many things I think they're in their own catagory (Multi-tool)

I mainly play Clunk, so this how I see other Nauts.

In my oppinionn..
...Froggy is easiest to learn to running away and plateform skill.
..Lonestar to learn to push.
.....Voltar to leanr the the basic gameplay, pressing buttons.
...Derp to lern the mouse aim.
If learned the basics of the game and feel good with the control try different characters and pick your favourite.

If you are interested in my"story" I played with Froggy G for a quite a while, then Skolldir a lot .
I learned fro Froggy the how to "move" and from Skolldir how to push turrents and get kills.
Today I am a CoCo player and beat asses in League 2/3 xD

You should try Clunk or Lonestar, they're pretty easy with them. The first character i touched was Leon tough
