What counts as free aim?

Does having target slowdown and tracking on count as free aim when using a mouse (at least for the sake of achievements)? I didn't get the achievement for 7 kills off of the rickety boat, and I was wondering if this was the cause. I can't really find anything that says what free aim is for mouse, only for gamepad. I don't want to play through the entire game on hard only to find out I don't get those achievements because i didn't turn these options off.

it counts as freeaim when you set it to free aim, nothing more

When using a mouse there is no outright option that says "free aim", at least not one I can see

For future reference, I believe you do need to have these two options turned off for it to count towards achievements. Weird that they don't bother to tell you to turn these options off or you'll be locked out of certain achievements, but at least i figured it out

I am going for the achievements of MP3 as well, and was wondering the same thing. Have you managed to find out in those years? :D

It's been about 4 years since I've played this game and I have absolutely no memory of when I played it, however I do have the free aim achievements unlocked. If you're using a mouse, I'd recommend doing what I suggest in my previous reply and turning off those two options if you're going for the achievements, and hopefully that should work.
