I An also having problem with long load/saves and crashes when loading saved games...Is there a solution to this yet ?

Check the file size on your saves. There's a problem with save game bloat with the latest patch that is breaking some saves. At the moment, I don't think there is a way to repair the save games.

For future reference, the issue is caused by frequent saving, so wait at least a year between saves.

There is supposed to be a hotfix released tomorrow to solve the problem, however it's unlikely that the hotfix will fix the broken saves.
