House Wessex
I want to play as the true rulers of England and restore them to the throne. Problemis, only living member that is male (and holding a claim) is landless in scotland.. Any possible Wessex members with a fief? (And preferably, a claim to england)

In 1066? I doubt it; on the other hand, you can always create a Wessexian king in the Ruler Creator.

I figured a way around it. The only member with a claim who is male needed some buttering up with coin in scotland.. then I had to give him the Duchy of Wessex.
If you have Old Gods you can play as Aethred (I think that's his name ingame, southern-most English faction on the channel).

He later became known as Alfred the Great, united all of England and the first to repel the Norwegian invaders from the isles. It's pretty amazing he managed to unite everyone, and then repel the Norwegians.

I'm playing as Alfred now and uniting England is still a massive pain. From the looks of it I won't be able to do so in his life time.

You start as Alfred's brother with Alfred as your vassal as Earl of Devon/Dorset.
Alfred did not unite all of England he managed to hold off the Norse and retake London and parts of Mercia.
His Son Edward and successors eventually united England.

@ Kexin I managed to United England in one life time but it is very hard, you need the Lodbroks to be distracted so you can pick them off one by one.

In 1066, I managed to give titles to the last remaining member of House Wessex.. but all of his children died a "natural" deat, along with him at age 27.. I assume someone was plotting to kill the family
