How do I break a betrothal for my son?
My son is no longer in my court and he is my heir. But the girl refused to marry him that he was betrothed too. I want to make sure he can produce children. But I can't break the betrothal. I saw this was an issue in 2012 over a year and still no solution?

Did you land your son? If so, I don't think there is much you can do about it. Once you land someone then they make their own decisions.

IF he is landed, then nothing you can do to break the betrothal.

However there is the old stand in solution.

You play only the current ruler, not the next ruler.
So, you cant break it.

True you play the current ruler, but you as the liege can break it if he or she is in your court.

If he isn't in your court you're pretty screwed. He is no longer directly under your control, and can now make his own choices.

It's no issue at all. If he has his own land you have no control on him anymore. You don't get to decide who he is to marry.
