Playable - 2009 iMac Radeon HD 4850 512mb VRAM ? ? ?
Mac System Requirements states: ATI Radeon HD 6750 - which best I can tell is a 1GB card, yet Windows Requirements states: 512mb graphics memory required.

Anyone with my set up able to play CK II without trouble? Would the Mac Demo be a true test?

Early 2009 iMac 24", 2.93 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB DDR3, 10.6.8, ATI Radeon HD 4850 512mb

It should run fine, but try the demo anyway. I always suggest trying before buying.

I click on the big bright button that says "DOWNLOAD MAC DEMO" (yes, there's a big ol' button that clearly states that there's a MAC DEMO one may "DOWNLOAD" -- but in direct contradiction to what it states in simple English in all caps on that big ol' button that's very really there on the store page a pop-up comes up with this confusing nugget of information: "Crusader Kings II Demo is not available on your current platform." Not a very propitious first experience.

It will probably run but a little jerkily and slowly. What's more importatnt is your OS X version, the video drvers in 10.8 are far better than earlier versions. If you can't upgrade from 10.6 I wouldn't buy the game.

What if I played it with Windows 7 on Mac via bootcamp? Probably OK/better, yeah?
