forming the latin empire

so i am playing as hungary with the old gods dlc and have finally wiped out the ERE and was hoping to form the latin empire but i have a few problems. my de jure kingdom of hungary now contains basically all the balkins, greece, and a lot of eastern europe. so i can only create the titles for the kingdom of anatolia. with the two king titles i didnt see a pop up to create the latin empire. just wondering what im doing wrong.

also since i have assimilated most of the kingdoms i control i dont see any way to creat like the kingdom of bulgaria to give to a vassal. did assimilating that kingdom make it so i can no longer create that title?

I just checked the requirements for the Latin Empire, do you control the three counties in the duchy of Thrace and are you a Catholic or Catholic heresy? Those are the only special requirements other than the byzantine empire being destroyed.

As for why you can't create the kingdoms, I'm not sure. They should have become titular kingdoms and still be formable, maybe you don't meet the culture requirements for them? (I think the kingdoms of Greece and Bulgaria require you to be Greek and Bulgarian respectively so that might be why you can't create them.)

yea i have almost complete control of the de jure byzantine empire and i have all the requirments met but the only empire title i see is the byzantine empire. i dont even see a tab for the latin empire.

do you know if the cultural requirments for a kingdom are still there if i form an empire?
i dont want to form an empire and have kingdom title with 80 percent of my territory associated with it. i imagine if i hold that title and give out kingdoms all the dukes in mega-hungary will get pissed

well hungarians are not latin so it wouldnt really make sense for them to be able to form it

Catholic religion or Catholic heresy. Control Kaliopolis and Thrake. Neither Byzantine Empire nor Roman Empire exists. Thats it.

After you make it change to orthodox and make catholic a hertic religion and change back to catholic. Playing as hertic religion has more benfits hehe. Reform the roman empire and take all the roman lands. You may want to move the pope to ere capital instead rome then as rome will no longer be a holy site or move him to jewish state.
