Issues with being too zoomed in

i started the game and i am on the main menu and the view is zoomed in to the point where the only thing i can see is the header that says new DLC available i cant start any game except the tutorial and on the world map i can't see the bottom or the right of the screen

I bought the game last night and it started to far zoomed in to begin with.

Sounds like you need to change the Resolution of the game to match your monitor.

Having the same issue....not certain how to get into the menu to change the game's resolution as I cannot see any buttons?

On windows go to User/username/documents/Paradox Interactive/CK2 and open the settings.txt and change the resolution there.

If the launcher itself was already wrongly sized, than its an issue based on your desktop resolution (set to 125 or 150%). If that is the case, then ask again or ask in the tech subforum on paradoxplaza.

Right-click the desktop, Customize, Screen, change the % font size.

Is it just wrongly sized in-game ? The launching page (where you see DLCs tab) is okay ?
Then open that settings.txt and edit the x and y values
to the resolution you got on your desktop or to 1024 x 768.

this is ridicuous i just bought the game and it doesnt even work

however when i screenshot the screen i am locked on it is a perfect picture of what the title screen should look like

but i still can even see the indian DLC

I am having the same issue as well. The launcher seems fine but the game is too zoomed in for me to change the resolution in the options menu.

i was able to fix it by going into the settings just like Varainger said. I changed the x and y values to match my screen resolution and changed the option for fullscreen to yes and bordless to no

May i ask if you had an unfitting resolution for your screen or was it that borderless was set
to 'yes' ?
I suspect that borderless is set to yes by default currently and that this somehow can conflict with Win8.

Though it doesn't seem to be a broader problem with Win8, as otherwise the tech support would be flooded by now.
