Started a game as Charlegmane today and Pepin is demonspawn. Just thought I'd share this hilarious twist to the 769 bookmark.

This event only triggers once per savegame for the player and only if you are in the catholic religion group. It is, however, very rare for your first heir of the game to become demonspawn.

According the the other demon child discussion its not only catholics that can get it. Someone had it as orthodox.

Did you even bother to read properly? I said Catholic religion GROUP. The Catholic religion group contains;
- Chrisitanism
- Orthodox
- Nestorian
- Miaphysite

Hey I wasn't trying piss anyone off. The fact is though that not a single one of those u listed is in the catholic religion group. They are all in the christian religion group. Orthodox and Catholicism are quite different in terms of game mechanisms and in practice.

The catholic relgion group contains relgions such as Cathar, Lollard, Waldensian etc.

If you were Catholic, you could make him Pope. I notice he's already a monk. That high intrigue is dangerous, though. You definitely want to keep him happy.

just so you're aware its the christian religion group (which includes catholic and orthodox) not the catholic religion group.

also this is from the event files for this event
