Unplayable because of your succession laws? Swap over to Elective unless you're saying that you're currently in negative standings with your vassal(s) which won't allow you to change said laws.
'in the world' - does this mean you checked all the children of all the dynasties in the game at the time the game was about to be over? I.e. 31st of December 1452? Or did you only check the character finder? Because even in the tab that includes the characters outside your realm, it doesn't have dead characters.
I'm fairly certain you must have browsed the character finder at a point in time where the balance of living characters' genders was skewed.
Or like every other person who's replied to this thread suggests, you are in fact only talking about your own ruler's children.
Anyway problem resloved, I uninstalled unrelated mods which seemed to have affected it for some reason
