can´t remember which number, before the byzantium potraits change >.<
Well started off as english catharian lady in venice as a vassal baron.
Married offcourse, so selected seduction and went on to seduce the Doge ,Charlemagne, King of Italy and Pope and even the Emperor of Byzantium.
One powerhouse in the making if I ever reached the throne.
Sadly my husband was my spymaster and after challenging the King of Italy to a duel,
which he lost, I thought fine that was the end of it LoL. see didn´t cheat ;)
But little did I know lol after the 4 th child which wasn´t his.
He planned a bomb all alone and blow me and the doge up while on a vacation retreat.
(shortest game I ever played lol but made me laugh so much)
So my 2 year old son inherited but I gave up laughing so much.
Infact it is very funny back then to play Way of Life.
As a female character still so unfair, that I could only keep the babies after the male suitors decline to acknowledge them.
Was only a 12 year game, but it was funny as heck.
lol, reminds me of a game where I had a god tier only son (Strong, brave, quick and lusteh) who married. A month after the marriage there was an event where they had the best sex of their life but the guy died from a heart attack xD
Was the daughter of Charlemagne which my male toon married.
They both were so in love when he died. cause of accident. She gotten depressed.
Tried to cheer her up cause the son was great. but she was so depressed commited suicide.
2 months later :(
So the whole family gotten depressed. and me as player too.
At first was laughing at the incident, but I felt sad when she commited suicide.
It wasn´t even her fault.
I restored the Persian empire, married my sister, then married my daughter, killed people off at random, then played unrelated characters from 6 different world regions that had no interaction or influence on one another until I got so confused as to who was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ what and where that I stopped caring about any of them, all while magical horse riding Aztecs sent the occasional popup saying "We're coming back to kill you all!" but never did.
That's actually not that far off from my last game.
THE GREAT NECROMANCER HAS STRUCK YET AGAIN, RISING ANOTHER THREAD FROM THE GRAVE OF TWO YEARS.
ONLY POWERFUL BEINGS ARE CAPABLE OF SUCH RITUALS.
ALL HAIL AND PRAISE THE NECROMANCER FOR WE ARE AT THE MERCY THE MIGHTIEST POWER.
-Emperor Ealdwine of Britannia was feeling antsy after ascending to the throne at age 5 and sitting under a regency until he came of age. So, almost as soon as he hits 16, he installs an antipope and sails to the Vatican to get his pope installed as the legitimate one. Problem was....the Black Death. Started in a remote corner of India in the late 960's/early 970's, swept throngh Europe and was knocking on his empire's door.
So, he sails INTO the plague to make the Papacy a vassal of his. Contracts the plague, beats it, then goes on to reign a total of 55 years before dying of cancer in the early 1000's at 61. His heir Gamall would later be known as the man who rediscovered that the Earth is round.
-Couple generations later, we get to Emperor Aethelstan. Fairly unremarkable man, except he once inadvertently saw one of his earls sexing up Aethel's sister Waerburg. He then kills time by seducing her. Said Earl later goes on to seduce Aethel's wife Christine. Nope, he gets imprisioned and executed via having his bowels ripped out. Only the Emperor gets to bang around the courts at will.
-Skip a few more generations ahead and the highlights of Emperor Maccus' reign are two of Britannia's most legendary laws: the Pants Act and the Turnip Act. Yeah, Maccus was a little insane. Also, some warcrimes during the second Crusade for Jerusalem, mainly indiscriminately executing people he captured during sieges. Ironically becomes known as 'the Wise'.
-Skip ahead to the year 1200 and the Cerdicing family has gone from merely 4 counties in southern England to having dynasty members ruling Britannia, Francia, and the Byzantine Empire.
-Mogols begin showing up in the year 1212. Temujin was disappointing, dying after only a few years. They would go on to flip from Tengri to Sunni to Catholicism, barely making it to the White Sea.
-Mid 1240's. Emperor Ulf decides to reverse Britannia's long-standing tradition of mostly keeping to their side of the English Channel, all because his mother Giselle is Empress of Francia and he stands to rule most of Scandiavia and continental Europe west of the Elbe. Giselle dies after drinking wine at a banquet.
-Decade later and through the combined effors of Ulf and his heir Uhtraed, Britannia is finally restabilized....until Uhtraed dies unexpectedly early, leaving his daughter Hereswith to become the first Empress of Britannia to rule in her own right. Merely 4, she would ultimately carve a sixty year reign of mass murder and execution in order to convice her vassals that a woman can rule too. Victims of hers include her mom (apostasy), her younger brother (differing succession laws between Britannia and England led to him inheriting Britannia's traditional capital of Winchester), her sister (plot), multiple peasant rebels, totally nearly twenty major players dying because of her direct actions. Ironically described as 'kind' upon her death by cancer at 65.
OOC: Can't finish off the save, deleted in rage after multiple factors in the game and real life clouded my judgment. Was 90 years from finishing the game too.
Story about Orestes and a few other things:
So King Chrysogonos the Monster was a pretty normal king, but then his daughter became a demon child and killed 4 of his 6 sons. He immediately married her of when she was 16 to avoid future deaths. Later in the year 824 he discovers a plot to kill him. One of the Counts plotting against him was Orestes of Nikea and because Chrysogonos was a great fighter he challenged the count to a duel. Orestes beat and killed Chrysogonos in front of a cheering crowd.
Now we enter the reign of Kaisarios, the eldest son of Chrysogonos. His first act was to force Orestes to be a monk. In 827 the wife of Kaisarios dies mysteriosly. A year after her death he finally found the conspirators. They were a few lonely counts and his spymaster, but what shocked him more was the leader of the plot: Orestes! A day later Kaisarios was bitten by a snake and died on the spot, but the conspirators were all revealed.
Now his son Chrysogonos the Avenger ruled the Kingdom. He was furious against the murderer of his father but Orestes had fled the country and hid away in one of the most eastern provinces of the Byzantine Empire. But lots of people hated him so in the year 841 Karma hit him and he was killed by a snake. After his death, Chrysogonos the Avenger would build a great Empire and he would be known as one of the three Great Rulers of the House of Flanginis. The other 2 were his greatgrandfather Kaisarios the Wise and his heir (not son) Chrysogonos the Great. The Orthodox majority hated him but he was loved by the catholic. With Chrysogonos the Great the decline of the Holy Roman Empire would begin.
