Cowardly people can be goaded into duels, too. It would take more than one brave feat to not be Craven.
Would be a neat system!
Because right now My King of the Frozen North who is Strong, Viking, Scared (4 times in duels, including one against Berserker), Quick, Just, Diligent, Trusting, Thirfty Clerk, Cynical, Twin(he was one of Sons of Ragnar Lodbrok, he was born with half of this traits),
Stressed, 43 years old atm, Created Vikings Kingdom.
Butchered 5 Revolts and 3 Vasal factions uprisings. Sailed to the England, burned half of the Eastern and southern England, and more than half Francia Northen shores.
Bring back home more than 2-3k gold up till now, Holded two Great Blots already,
Sacrificed more than 5 Bishops and some random unworthy Vasals traitors who were in prison at that time.
Put a Runestone not for himself but for his Grandfather Sigurd (Since Ragnar put one for himself). Now sailing back to home with another 800 gold in longboats, after last raid he got Ancient Viking Axe (event) that adds +2 to Matrial.
He is True Son of Odin! ^^
Even after half of this stuff what he have done, 'Craven' should be nothing but a memory.
I really wish that Paradox could do some tweaking with this where you get and lose traits.
Because sometimes it does not even make sense to me lol ;p
Oh and hey Langkard! and damn you for not telling me that I should play with Vikings.
I was playing before only with Greater Poland since here are my Slavic roots, but if I knew that I can sacrifice bishops for prestige and piety every 9 years while playing as Vikings...
Well, there is no turning back now. ;p
Got this silly song in my head all the time because of this campaign lol.

I have only played for about 130 hours or so, but I've recieved the "Just" trait so many times for nothing. I know, I know I DO usually take the hit and not try to get it the second, third, forth, or fifth times, because it does me no good. Again, one line of code. IE:If X has trait Just, and has recived it again, ADD +(some number) to X trait total
Its so simple as to give any programer a headache.
But that would cut down on the amound of DLC's that could be pumped out, I guess. It's the only thing that makes any sense....but then SENSE it not something I think this company prides itself on. :(
Or even better, just add in a chance of losing the trait or gaining Brave whenever you accept a duel to the death.
Counter stuff is unwieldy in the long run.
And I totally agree with you that automatically it may be a bit too much but...
So lets assume that he got craven because some kid poked him with a stick when he was a kid himself, or maybe he was afraid of something in the dark, or maybe of it was Loki himself that was playing with his mind. But then again... look at my post no#5.
(so I don't have copy paste ;p).
The game gives you a choice of changing something in life of that King and history of his bloodline, it gives you many choices during his campaign, but in the end there is no choice at all, because you are 'ment to be' as "RNG" told you from the beginning.
Even tho all his Heroic deeds says otherwise.
That's why I hope these issues will be adressed by the devs so we may all benefit from aditional fun in game, and something that will make sense to us. Cheers!
