Crashing after new dlc

i just picked up charlemagne and i installed it. now CK2 wont work. it crashes every time i start if up, even if i dont have charlemagne checked in the launcher. someone help

Had the same problem. Some are having issues if they have mods installed. Mine wouldn't even get to the launcher screen. I had to uninstall CKII, restart windows, and then reinstall for it to finally launch.

make sure no mods installed, sometimes mods can be tricky if you don't follow through with all removal processes

My game crash everytime I open the chronicle with Charlemagne dlc.

Mine crashes when i select the religion icon on any saved game. This game used to be rock solid? What happened?

Charlemagne keeps crashing while playing in few minutes. I reported it to paradox forums.

In case you have the crashing at startup, make sure you have no mods enabled that are incompatible with the game. Only enable the mods for the game that you know are compatible.

Please try this if you are on linux and the game crashes after approx 2 years:

start the game with -threads=1 command-line argument

Game is even crashing without the DLC installed. Just wanted to start a new game (without any Mods) with most of the official dlcs except charlemagne... game crashed while selecting the starting date. Look's like the patch is buggy.

Game CTD when the loading bar finishes on a new game. No mods loaded. Deleted local content and reinstalled, but still CTD at same spot.
The same occurs without Charlemagne; believe its an issue with 2.2 patch.

My saves crash upon clicking the religion tab. No mods installed, Charlemagne DLC not installed, either.

Same thing here. After Charlemagne DLC crashes every 5 minutes on Linux. Was rock solid before.
