How can I make money as a Tengri tribal lord?

Ok, so I'm playing as the Pechenegs as a Tengri in the Charlegmage start. And I'm making next to money, like .76 a month. I'm trying to create the Khanate of Cumania so my lands don't get split up (again), but I have nowhere near ebough money. Does anyone know ways I could make money without spending too much? Also I'm not even close to adopting feudalism, so I'm just focusing on creating Cumania.

I've tried that and the provinces around my are so poor the upkeep for my levies is higher than the income from raiding.

Conquer Turkestan. It borders a load of richer Muslim provinces to the south which will net decent money. However, Tartaria is so massive and it takes so long to get anywhere that I'd honestly question whether raiding is even worth it until you've reformed Tengri and vassalized the Lords of the Sky. Until then, you're going to have real trouble with money.

As for your realm splitting. You'll have free claims on any titles which break away, so just go to war with them as soon as your vassals are out of the danger zone.
