However, once the game starts a lot of things can deviate from history. A member of the house of Seljuk who had been educated with Kurdish culture could theoretically become Sultan.
Additionally, the Seljuk empire in-game contains many characters who are Persian, Kurdish, Afghan and Bedouin.
My guess is that you probably clicked on an individual vassal of the Seljuk Empire who was Kurdish, rather than on the ruling family which is Turkish.
Perhaps in a brighter decade, when the people are better educated and well-cultured, when the government stops breeding hatred in this people's heart against the minorities (when we can spend a week in politics without the prime minister insulting Jewish people, secularists, other religious minorities; or some politician insulting Armenians and Greeks), we will see less of this kind of nonsense, and the Turkish people will come to admire the greatness that is the rich tapestry of Anatolia.
Until then, we can only hope.
Please ignore this ignorant buffoon.
I'm sorry but i don't understand well first part. Secondly all big empires is multicultural. But in history empires calling with name of founders and ruler nations. Or maybe clans or families who lead them. But in this case none of them Kurdish. Then why ? Like i said i never heard this before even from Kurdish people. I just checked the game i didn't played much, maybe i misunderstood something. I hope so.
Cultural identities in the game are not set in stone, the game STOPS being historical the moment you start playing it. The only historical points in the game are the START DATES.
There are a whole number of ways in which a Seljuk vassal could've been Kurdish:
1. The Seljuks conquered a Kurdish count/duke and made him their vassal.
2. Marriages and inheritences within the realm made it so a Kurdish ruler gained the Kingdom title
3. The heir was educated by a Kurd and/or the Seljuk Sultan decided to move his capital to a Kurdish province, which carries a chance that they'd get converted to that culture.
I see you've played 1.5 hours of this game so I have a sneaking suspicion that you don't even understand the underlying systems that change character's cultures. Maybe more research before rage and accusations next time ?
Brother, calm down. Noone is against you, take the time to read what others said. The Seljuks are indeed Turkish in game. But they are subject to change as in-game time passes, you obviously fell on an individual vassal that turned into Kurdish culture under specific circumstances (eg educated by a Kurdish char).
Actually, I wish all of my compatriots would hold opinions simmilar to troiscorbeaux, and felt the need to apologize for other peoples behaviour; stand up to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ coming from people like you. If anyone is a shame, it's you, behaving like this on 2015. Nationalism is a concept that we need to leave behind. I know my words are hurtful, but it's called "cause and effect", you brought this uppon you. Unfortunately love cannot be forced, you gotta find the path by yourself.
Greetings from Yunanistan.
Do not fight cultural wars here.
OP: Paradox developers do not read these forums. If you feel there are bugs or inaccuracies in the game, report them on the Paradox CK2 Bug Reports forum. But make sure of your facts, in the game and out, and do not shout or make futher false accusations - do you really think Kurdistan paid an obscure game company to flasify history?
