You have separate invititations due to a mod, not a dlc. CK2+ I reckon.
Once you press those invitations they appear in your court and you are free to appoint them wherever you want. The difference between invite noble and holy man is the kind of education the new courtier will have (holy men always have theology education) as well as the cost of decision (cash vs piety). So if you are looking for good stewards or marshals, I'd rather hit invite noble, or better yet, seek people that will come to your court for free, such as claimants to titles.
