The Victual Brothers?
I was playing a game trying to form Ireland but when I surveyed the map to see what was going on the merc Company "The Victual Brothers" owned the duchy of sicily. How does this happen and is it normal? I have never seen this before.

If you run out of money and can't pay your mercenaries, they can just quit, join the other side of your war, or say they're getting their money by taking over your titles.
