talos is present at one point (i dont remember the date) but you have to remember that elder kings takes place long long before ulfric was born and the first bookmark is before talos

I know what you mean. I would just think it would make sense that the mod creators make bookmarks that players would recognize like the oblivion crisis or the stormcloak rebellion.

i think they plan to add them in later but right now the bookmarks take place in the second era before either of those 2 events (oblivion crisis being at the end of the 3rd era and stormcloak being during the 4th era)
well I've been a fan of the Elder Scrolls series since Morrowind days and I can tell you that this time period, dating from after the Akaviri controlled Tamriel, is very much familiar to me and is probably to anyone who has enjoyed the lore. It is also great to note that this mod is completely player made so if you have any quarrels with it's production, hop on their forums and join the discussion.

To be honest though these dates and times are familiar, lesser so in the characters department, but this is such a defining moment for all of Nirn that it's pretty awesome to be able to play when you do. Yeah most players don't care about the history of Tamriel, they just care about TES IV or TES V but the people making this mod aren't most players.

I see where you are coming from. I however am a 2nd generation Elder scrolls player, I had not even been born yet when Arena came out, Daggerfall I would have been 1-2 years old, Morrowind I was 6 years old. So technically speaking I have only played Oblivion and Skyrim and enjoy reading about the lore from those games. I think that however the greatest time period would be with Tiber Septim and the septim dynasty or the Stormcloak rebellion and the Dominion empire war. Just my opinion, Dont know enough about Morrowind and prior to say how interesting those games would be in the timeline.

tiber septim does fall into the elder kings timeline because he appears at the end of the 2nd era and im pretty sure i remember him being playable if you go to the date when he wouldve been around.

if you need a reference for when events occured during the elder scrolls universe you can consult this timeline http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline

elder kings start at the interregnum part of the 2nd era. tiber septim marks the end of the 2nd era and the beginning of the 3rd era which is when all of the elder scrolls games except skyrim and ESO take place

i know they plan to include the later dates and eras at some point and they are still slowly developing the mod
