An Honest Mistake - Achievement explanation
This is only Event driven, you cannot ask someone to leave your court manually (game doesn't allow "Ask to Leave Court" button to function when you Close the Gates), nor pay excess courtiers to leave to trigger this. This event requires the following game conditions:

- the Black Death is in your capitol province
- you must have Closed the Gates in the "Intrigue" menu

One thing you must be willing to do for the Achievement - Keep the Gates closed, even if it results in separate events that could precede the Achievement event, and I had one that resulted in a negative Trait (I received Craven trait for keeping gates closed, before the Event popped).

My opinion, invite lots of extra NPCs into your Court when the Black Death hits, go over your normal Court size maximum, as my event was triggered twice once my Court was over-sized. The first pop-up, the courtier had "Malaise" which is one of the 3 symptoms leading to Black Death, so when I chose the top line "...has to go" - no Achievement because that person had the Black Death. The next time the pop-up hit, it was Chest Pains which is not a Black Death symptom, and thus - the Achievement triggers because after all, it was "An Honest Mistake" (poor child, some virtual kid wandering outside the gates). You only want to choose that top line "...has to go" which kicks out the non-plague NPC.

The symptoms for Black Death are fever, cramps and malaise. You must kick out someone without those symptoms for the Achievement to trigger.

It's not that hard to hit. Just throw out everyone who has symptoms. Lol

Edit and by that I mean anyone that's showing "symptoms."

You can't, it's an Event-Only Achievement. The point of the Achievement is that the Gates are CLOSED but you kick out someone w/o the correct symptoms. You cannot manually kick anyone out with the gates closed. Once an NPC in your Court is tagged as "secluded" - you cannot right-click that NPC and click the button for "Ask to Leave Court" - it is grayed out and cannot be activated once you close the gates. Doesn't trigger from Banishing any prisoners either, nor from paying for excess Courtiers to leave (I tried them all before researching and finding that it's Event-Only).

Oh, I know that. I mean to say, whenever you get the chance, for anyone, just throw them out.

Right - that's the best way to force the game to keep the Event active, kick out the actual plague carriers, but I think having excess Courtiers does help trigger this event to occur more often also. Oh, one bit of trivia, that the young child I kicked out for the achievement - miraculously right back in my court, without an "arrival" message either. It's almost like I didn't even really make the kid leave the city.

Removing someone from seclusion doesn't banish them from the court, but it renders them unprotected from the disease, and unable to interact with the secluded people. Also makes them angry for a while, so once the seclusion is lifted they'll have a -50 opinion hit.

That has nothing to do with this discussion, and your point is full of confusion. Inside your own Court, 100% of your own Court is either Secluded (Gates Closed) or not (Gates Open). Vassals inside the Realm may be Secluded or not, during one of these disease-spread incidents in-game.

No one said that Banishing a Court member is part of this, I merely said that I had tried all non-Event manual methods to include Banishing, before discovering the Achievement is entirely Event Driven.
