Prepared invasion not working?
Had a prepared invasion. Never had any troops spawn and got crushed as a result. Any one notice the same?

I had a prepared invasion on Ireland from Saxony in the late 800s that was so many troops it was insane. Total wipe.

feels super unbalanced.

So your prepared invasion DID get troops? I got literally 0 in the 2 years it took for the invasion.

It seems like it depends on the size of the kingdom for me; I declared one against Charlemagne and got close to 20k troops, but the one my heir declared against his grandson (who had maybe 1/3 the territory) got around 4k.
But maybe it's the ruler being declared against's prestige...or the chance to spawn is based on your remaining prestige. I'm not sure.

I'm having the same issue here, every time I try to launch an Invasion I never got any troops.

2000+ prestige, 15+ martial skill, I'm king of Norway... No matter which kingdom I try to invade, I never got ANY troops during the two years of preparation... Why ?

I keep reloading my game and try different targets to invade, but the result is always the same, I even started a new game and used console to cheat to quickly launch an invasion, still have no troops...

Before Conclave DLC it was working half of the time, but now even AI can't win with their prepared invasions ! What happened ?

It does seem like you get more troops for more difficult targets. I'm not sure exactly, though. I got 5k-ish one time, and none another time.

Ok it seems I found something interesting...

I targeted the Omeyyads (they control all hispania + mauretania, so 15k + troops), and of course I had no troops with Prepared Invasion (I have 3k levy troops so they are way bigger than me). So the levy size of my target seems not to be important.

BUT !

My king had 9 Diplomacy and 17 Martial... I cheated with console to add 1 point of diplomacy and ... I got troops !! I targeted Mercia, and I got 3k troops !

So my guess is that you have no troops unless your king has at least 10 Diplomacy (and maybe 10 martial too) ! I wish I can have more details about it ...
