When I convert by decision to Zoroastrianism, my government converts from iqta to fuedal, do I still have open succession law?

I'm pretty sure you can only have open succession as Islamic characters or reformed pagans.

yeah Islam is super badass in general hahaha I highly recommend it. If you're playng on Ironman, you can always back up your save, take the decision, and if you don't exactly like the outcome you can replace your save and recalculate.

You generally convert to the default inheritance law when changing government form so yes, you should expect to be switched to gavelkind. Not 100% sure on agnatic or agnatic-cognatic as I've not done it in quite a while...

yeah it was agnatic gavelkind. ehh he's young enough I should be able to get 10 years out of him and switch. managed to pick up the tengri warrior society by a quick religion switch courtesy my wife before I took the legacy decision (as reddit advised me to do), yeah ok this religion swapping stuff can be fun
