Claims never fabricating?
So, I've had my chancellor in a county for 3 years at least, and no claims have been fabricated yet. It happened with a different county too. Had the same chancellor there for 10+ years and no claim ever got fabricated. I'd understand if he had like a 5 or 7 diplomacy, but he has 17. I've tried sending him gifts to improve his opinion of me and taking him off the county and nothing has worked so far. Help please?

There are also several other factors becides your chancellor diplomacy, there is often quite a large amount of chance ivolved that you have little power to infuecne. And their opinion of you that factor in to it, if they don't like you that much then they won't bother to work as hard.

When you're about to make them fabircate a claim, you should see what he chances of them being succesful are. If its rasonably low, its better not to other since your mostly just wasting your time no matter how long you wait.

Hey fabricating can take a while & depend on many factors like the owner where you fabricating's intrigue etc. Diplomacy of 17 isn't great try finding someone with over 20 diplomacy at least! :steamhappy:

Bear in mind that there's a chance to be bribed off and they never fabricate it during that current attempt. So what I do is what about 2 years, if there's no progress, re-send them to 'refresh' the job.

What's the % Chance to Fabricate? I think it's affected somewhat by the vassals of the claim you're fabricating as well as the prestige of the title holder, but don't quote me on that.

It took me about 8-9 years to fabricate a claim on the capital of the Duchy of Moray. My Chancellor had 20 in diplomacy, but I checked on the Duke of Moray and the guy had plenty of prestige, happy vassals and about 40 state diplomacy.

Plus there is a random event where the owner of the target province can bribe him.

This too. Forgot about that.

Check the state intrigue of the county's owner.

It's 14. No idea how much that effects it getting fabricated or not.

I thought 17 diplomacy was supposed to be pretty good? Isn't it like 1-5 is terrible, 6-10 is meh, 11-14 is good, 15-19 is really good, and then 20+ is amazing?

17 is still good, its just that fabricating claims ivolves more that just your chanellors diplomacy

No, it's basically anything below 10 is terrible, 10+ - 20 is OK-good etc. I've once had a 30+ chancelor but such stats are quite rare.

I've heard speculation that he can be bribed to not fabricate a claim, unfortunately I don't think there's any way to know for sure if he is. Usually for me if it's been a long time since I was able to fabricate a claim, I'll just move him to a different county for a bit and deal with it later.

Chancelor needs to like you firstly. Replace the bastard if his likes are never going to chnage. Also you need family or influence to the area you send your chancelor. I sent my Jewish Chancelor and his skill levels were so high he could fabricate a whole kingodm to my worthless name. He died cause my family obviously hated Jews. Poor Dude, he was so helpful to my reign.

What would count as "reasonably low" in that case?

To me at least, I would say that if the time to fabricate claim is around 10% or lower then I would look for other options. Also if the chance to "infuriate noble" is above 10% I would also have second thoughts, espcially if this is higher than the fabricate claim chance.

Did this occurs to one of you. Chancellor propose to push a fabricate claim but you dont have enough gold and/or gold to achieve it. Never to me, but if player is always low on gold, and it a prerequisite, perhaps explanaition is here.
