Mods have requirements.
That might be DLCs, but the most important question is especially if the patch version you are running the game on is compatible with the version number of the mod you use.
Its is usually explained on the summary page and of the mods on moddb or/and in the description for the versions you download.
It sure is for the Middle Earth project on moddb.
It's 0.5b version for instance is for CK2 patch 2.4.2.
its my first comment so maybe iam wrong here
i play crusaider kings version 2.6.1.1 with ck2 + mod 2.5.2 (menue CK+ V 4.04) Since i have the mod a lot of the characters wear facemasks and and eyeclaps
Start your own thread.
Also, your post has absolutely NOTHING to do with the opening post.
Zero.
INSTALLATION GUIDE
1/ Download the mod, and open the .rar file with Winrar or any similar software.
2/ If you've got a former version of the mod, remove it entirely.
2/ Extract MEP 0.1.5b in your "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings 2/mod" directory (NOT directly in the game folder)
3/ Launch the Game, and enjoy!
IMPORTANT ! The current release is a BETA version, with bugs, and obviously not complete !
thats what i did there were no mention of any dlcs needed and i would not even know how to change my version of ck2 to be old enough for theirs =P
Well installation was probably correct, but if your CK2 is on 2.6.1.1 then you have to revert it.
What mod version did you download ?
edit: okay , saw you donwloaded 0.5b, but the latest is 0.6b and that is for 2.5x patch.

No key/code required. Just select, let it download and install.
Before you then start, manualy delete or rename the CK2 folder in Documents/Paradpox Interactive/ (it includes your save files and mods !) or simply delete everything inside the CK2 folder except the "mod" and the "save games" folders.
Start the game twice afterwards while online for DLC to be registered and to be sure that vanilla without mods runs fine.
Please help me out.
Weird necro, but whatever.
First, open the .rar and move the mod file and folder to C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod or wherever your equivalent is.
Then, make sure you're on the correct version of CK2. IIRC, Wizarding World is something like 2.4 or 2.6, so you have to be on the relevant version of CK2 stated in the moddb page somewhere, with any DLCs newer than that date turned off.
