Muslim ruler wife problems

I've been having trouble with my wives playing as a Muslim ruler. I was using the shattered worlds mod so I don't know if that has anything to do with it but my second wife keeps killing my first one.

I get my first wife and get another one a few months later and 6 months later my first wife is killed by the second. I force the poison down my second wifes mouth and choose 2 new wives. Same thing happens again. First and second wife are killed because I don't want a murdering wife as my partner.

So I choose 2 more wives and this happens again. What the heck is wrong here? Has anyone ever had this happen where your second wife kills the first and your forced to choose new wives and the same thing happens again?

Well Im guessing its probley a rivalry for your love of course! Hahah. That and they want their children to go on to inherit your empire not your other wifes child, plus you can image there must be some disdain between them as they both wear a ring from you have same husband competing for the best spot out of the two. I have encountered this problem my self per say because I auto end plots and my wives love me so it works out. But thats my reasoning for whats happening. If your wife wont end her plot then maybe you should kill her and pick one that has a higher relation with you.

Ha, should have my spy cover my area instead of abroad. Thing is that I didn't even see a rivalry type on them and its a shame that I coudn't catch it in time. Funny thing is that the each row of wives that are killed gets faster and faster.

First 6 months, then 3 months, and last it was like 1 1/2 months. Pretty amazed that I could get so many deaths in such a short time.

Look out for their traits before marriage. Women with 'ambitious', 'envious', 'cruel' and the like make very poor secondary wives. As soon as one of the other wives gives you a son, they start going after her. Without said traits they may still do it just the same, but it is a way of managing the risk a little.

As for the first wife, you can choose one with high Intrigue so that you can make her spymaster as well. The other women will have a much harder time trying to get at her then. But, if she can't give you any sons, she in turn will try to kill the ones that can. Or their sons.
