Ultimogeniture won't recognize the youngest son
I am currently archduke of franconia, brunswick and saxon and married to the queen of poland and Pomerania. My youngest son is from her and the hier to her titels so i tried to use the Ultinogeniture succession law in the hope that he would become my hier and I get to become king of Poland, Pomerania while also keeping my other titels. The Problem is that the succession law won't recognize my youngest son and chosses my second born, who is 26 years older, as my hier. I tried assassinating him but then it simply choose my firstborn and after i killed that one too my grandchildren. I even went so far and killed all of them of with commands, the result the Ultimogeniture succession law, wich is supposed to choose the youngst child, chooses a 65 year old relative. This ♥♥♥♥ is really frustrating and anoying.

How high is the Crown Authority in your main realm? If it's too high, titles can't pass outside the realm. And as he is already the heir to external powers, it can't be picked.

Is it that he won't be recognized at all, or is it only in Poland, that he won't? Just thinking, if you are a duke and his mother is a queen, it may be that the laws of her country overrules yours? Don't know for sure though.

So your wife is queen of Poland? What is the Polish succession law?

So if the crown authority is absolute, my son won't be recognized at all by the succession law of my duchy because he's also the hier of the polish and pomeranian throne?
satayagraha Aug 24, 2014 @ 10:23am
No, he should be recognized as the heir to your duchy. The inheritance laws of his mother's lands want another heir, simply because they are different laws, gavelkind, seniority, what ever. But with ultimogeniture in your own lands, of course your youngest son should be the heir.

No, because his son is considered to be in his mother's court, and thus a foreign realm. That's why he doesn't get picked - Absolute CA prevents titles from leaving the realm.

How old is the one you want to enherit?

The boy is at my court he's the only son of the polish and pomeranian queen and 4 years old.

Still, even if Poland is cognatic-agnatic, the title only leaves the queen's realm if she dies before her husband, right?

And if he is her only son, then there certainly shouldn't be a problem. As far as I can see, the only way thing that could prevent him enheriting is if Poland has Elective Monarchy. Or less likely the one where oldest dynasty member enherits (forgot the name, sorry) and there is an old uncle somewhere.

This last bit. If Poland hs any succession law that keeps heirs of the dynasty rather then descendants of the ruler you can't get it unless they chance their laws. So that'd be Elective, Tanistry or 'oldest dynasty member'(forgot the name :P)

My problem is that he can't become my hier no matter what I do. I slaugtherd all my other children, most of my living relatives and almost whipped out my dynastie, and still my last and youngest son won't become my hier! It's kind of hilarious I have a son and my hier is some hispanic count that isn't even part of my dynastie anymore
