It's based on different random childhood events depending if you own Conclave or not. If you play the child yourself (regency) then you can influence/choose it. If you are the parent you can give your child a homosexual guardian. That seems to increase the chances.

I own Conclave. I am aware of some random event that includes the option of gaining the homosexual trait. I am just wondering if there is some kind of set of choices you have to make in order to trigger an event like this.

I don't believe there is any player controlled steps that can allow you to change your sexual orientation in game. Seduction focus won't allow you to seduce men unless you are already homosexual. However you can be seduced by homosexual AI and thus convert, so I guess invite homosexuals to your court and hope for a RNG event related to them.

The only real player controlled way to get homosexual is to not marry or marry only over 45 year olds. After about 10 years of marriage if you don't have a kid you can inspire events where your court members basically accuse you of being gay due to lack of heir.

I've had events where my lad woke up and suddenly became gay, I was a lunatic and possesed and the event was something about how being homosexual was wrong but felt so good
