what is considered the region of the near east?

won Jerusalem in the first crusade and after 3 generations of struggeling I've finally managed to shake of the constant holy wars and claims. Im looking to create the Outremer but I have no clue what they mean by ''near east region.''

on another note,every single king/queen has ''political concerns'' making it so I can't make alliances. Im just in control of Jerusalem and some regions near it minding my own business. what concerns do they have?

You're not of their religion, either because you're a heretic or infidel. You squat on one of their holy sites. You took it by force (might be a historical modifier, the Crusaders pretty much exterminated Jerusalem when they took it). You are rather strong on the military side of things.
Also they might be concerned about the de jure claims you'll get.

I mean I could understand France being concerned since I started as a count in France and I might have some weak claim somewhere. But its the HRE, England, Castille, Aragon, Croatia, Hungaria, Poland. Not even the Latin empire that was the result of the 2nd crusade would not ally me eventhough we share a commen enemy on our borders.

Im a devout catholic trying my best to become a saint so religion is not the issue.

Go to the bottom left of the screen and click the button called search titles and type near east. It popsup and it will highlight everything, its most of Arabia and Syria. In my playthrough, I just formed the titular Empire of Jerusalem because the Turks owned all of the required land and I wasnt going to piecemeal it over 2 centuries

Thanks. did not know you could find regions through it. it seems I am well underway controlling syria and making my way down Arabia.
