Russia or the Slavic Union? Which is the most fun?

I dont think they have different game mechanics :D If you are asking for advantages well i think its slavic union because serbians are slavs too, ruthenians are slavs too, poles are slavs too, its a wider group of cultures. So you have wider areas to join your empire without problems. But russia is just severians ilmenians etc, in game. As much as im aware of, they dont change game mechanics wheter you form russia or slavic union, maybe IF they effect cultures, slavic union would be the one that encompasses people from balkan to east germany to kiev to novgorod :D while rus would only encompass around moskov to novgorod? but then, im not sure as i never formed them, im usually content with my kingdom-tribe, dont need to form slavic union or russia, let someone elses head hurt with this empire forming business :D

If you actually mean Russian Empire, its holder can upgrade tribe to a castle with only lvl1 hillfort. But still is a waste compared to them adopt feudalism intrigue decision.

Whatever you prefer, but taming the nomads is fun. I'd go Russia.

They're pretty similar, occupy same part of map etc. If you want to go west, Slavic Union is probably better situated for that.
