Culture tends to be a lot more....sticky...than religion does, and almost never changes after childhood since by then it's largely become an ingrained part of who you are. Religion by contrast due to varying levels of syncretisism, tends to be a lot easier to convert to, where as culture, unless you grow up in it, you rarely change the culture you were raised in (even to this day culture tends to remain pretty sticky).
It's better to just to educate their kids with the proper culture and not worry about it for the current generation.
As it stands now I will play this character within 25 game years.
Do I have an ability to change cultures as a player?
Hmm, the wiki says I'll have a decision available when my capital is a different culture. We'll see in 25 game years.

btw if you are a vassal you also have a decision to change to your lieges culture
Please no....
defaulting to the console is taking away from the game experience you shouldn't know the health of people that's part of the mystery... tutoring your people finding good Court Tutors with Gregarious and Dilagent to convert your people is part of the game.
having to do this on a generation basis is part of the challenge!
Yep. I'm emperor, so gotta wait to play that character then move my capital.
I have sneaky daughter in law.
My heirs' heir (my grandson) is being educated in heritage of another culture.
Makes sense since he stands to inherit Lombary and his dad is welsh.
but two generations later when he gets the empire, its all welsh and he'll add lombardy to it. So I'm planning.
It was a great opportunity when it presented itself one character ago to marry off my grandson to the future queen of lombardy, but then I got worried when I watched the culture thing develop. Now its not a problem.
Agreed, I dont like to cheat like that.
I found a solution in the decision tree when I inherit the empire, thanks.
