Equality VS Enatic Clans Doctrines

Looking to reform my religion, Hellenic, and have a line of Queens/Empresses.
Question is with Equality doctrine it seems I'm stuch with Absolute- Cognatic gender law for realm unless I use cheats to switch it to Enatic-Cognatic (Female preference but males still allowed.)
Enatic Clans will allow a switch to Enatic-Cognatic correct? Will this also allow me to appoint male councilors etc. or does the Doctrine always prevent that?

Basically wanting to have Women favored as heirs but ability to appoint best available people to council/command regardless of gender.
I know I can use cheats to force preferred gender law under equality but would prefer not to if I can achieve desired result with Enatic-Clans doctrine and no cheat.

I'm doing a female sucession hellanic playthrough right now and this is exactly what I was looking for can I ask how did it work out for you?

PS: I haven't reformed yet but am getting close.

I thought that was only for Merchant Republics and those who rely on agnatic inheritance?

Pure enatic is only available with Enatic Clans. Enatic-cognatic (female preference) is only available with Enatic Clans or the Bayajidda and Magajiva bloodline. That's a historical bloodline, so it can't be created - you have to get it from another character. It's one of the rare matrilineal bloodlines. :)

With enatic clans you cant have male commanders and councilors unless something specialy enables them again i think.
