If you are a King with an MR in your realm, then the same thing as above, but you may also gain trade posts at the terminus of the trade roads.
If an MR has a trade post on the terminus of the trade road, even if you own the county, you wont be able to build a trade post on the trade road terminus. So evicting a rival MR post does two things here well worth it.
Lastly, you can ruin the income of a rival by destroying the posts.
And how would I ruin the income of a rival by destroying the posts if they're in my realm to begin with?
Oh, wait, I can declare an embargo CB but then attempt to destroy any and all of the MR trade posts they own, not just the ones in my realm?
As for ruining a rival's income, I think that would only apply if your rival was the MR itself or else the liege of the MR.
