Do you mean mercenaries?
Or a personal bodyguard?
There is no mechanic for hiring a personal bodyguard.
And the Legacy of Rome DLC wich enables retinues
Keep forgetting some peasants don't have the dlc
Your english (or google translate) is so poor that you will likely have much better luck asking in your native language.
No clue. If so, why mention having 2 Kingdom titles in the first half of the sentence?
Probably because he was told:
"Generally it's pretty hard for a Duke to be able to get more than one retinue unit, although Kings can often support a decent-sized number."
...so he probably wanted to state that he should have enough size to support retinues.
"the squad can not collect" almost certainly means "retinues can't be hired." And by "guard" I believe he means retinue. I don't think his English is that hard to understand?
I replied to you in another thread, sasa.aleks, but in case you don't see that reply I will copy it to here as well:
"Aha! They are called "retinues" in English. :) To be able to hire them you have to have enough "retinue cap" for the unit you want to hire. Retinue cap is based on the number of holdings in your realm, your military organization tech, and the building "training grounds."
The Wikipedia page has the exact formula for calculating the retinue cap, and also the amount of retinue cap you need for the different units: https://ck2.paradoxwikis.com/Retinues#Retinue_cap :)
Note that you do require the Legacy of Rome DLC active to be able to hire retinues."
It's hard enough with the different words and terrible syntax. It's not a dig on the OP, just an observation. It happens a lot on the Steam forums, and it would likely just be easier if the question was made in their native tongue than in a google translated english.
