I think they just bring Syphilis. Which is somewhat historically accurate, since it is probably one of the few diseases that went from America to Europe. (Although that is somewhat disputed among historians and scientists.)

The first recorded cases of syphilis were around 1494, around the time the sailors that went with Columbus came home. Then bragged about all those Indian chicks they banged on their expeditions.
