And yet every barony I hold in my capital county gets the same bonus. I would caution against taking things stated on a wiki as the gospel truth.
Yeah, that's why I said "according to the Wiki." People will have to verify the information for themselves. Anyone who takes a statement like that as gospel truth has a problem we can't help them with, heh. :)
EDIT: I checked and can confirm that you are correct. I updated the Wiki. :)
Badajoz has 4 counties, the same number as Beja, home to my capital Lisboa.
Lisboa has 4 holding slots compared to 3 in Badajoz and the technology of Lisboa is also superior.
The only reason I was thinking of moving is that Badajoz will be the kingdom name and I was unsure whether or not the kingdom is linked in some way to the county?
If you put the map in "de jure kingdoms" mode and mouse over the various provinces one will have "default capital" listed in the information box (this also applies to duchies in the duchy map mode). Note that this determines how gavelkind treats the provinces and the ai will go out of their way to obtain the default capital for their primary title but otherwise I don't know of any in-game effects.
