Kingdom falling apart
When my King dies, the kingdom split to smaller duchies and kingdoms....who needs to hold duchies so that Kingdom would not fall apart?

Most likely you have Gavelkind-succession and more then one son. That inheritance law splits your titles between your heirs.

When your vassals split off on succession you should get claims on them though... so just push your claims and/or subjugate again and you'll be good to go. You'll also get a load of prestige from winning wars.

Yepp, same for brothers that break off, you get a strong claim on them. In general playing a tribe its a good idea to make your capital as strong as possible (the main heir always gets that) and pile up some money, because the treasury doesnt get split, so the main heir (the one you will play as) gets all the money.

Gavelkind does that unless you only have one top title, like a kingdom. Then the duchies etc will still be inherited by younger sons, but they will become vassals and not independent. Unless they hate you, in which case they may become independent anyway. Or if you are over your vassal limit during the succession.
But you can always go to war against your younger brothers right away, because you have a claim to their titles.

As you get old it helps to give your heir more of your kingdom, so when you play them you start with more titles. I also like to give my wife a title or two.

the gavelkind madness has become a lot easier with holy fury (as a tribal at least). the main heir gets the retinue, so he'll be a lot more powerful than his brothers and can basically just roflstomp their troops if the old man built up a decent retinue before he kicked the bucket.

This is a pain but generally you have claims for all those titles... just try and take them back before someone else attacks them

duel them for their lands. If you lose, you still win.

Yeah, i already did that...tribal sucks...need to get feudal asap, but the holy sites are hard to conquer

Tribals are really good at conquering a lot of stuff fast... they are not that good at keeping it together
