Gaining traits

so ive been looking over the internet and i cant find any guides or anything on how to gain specific traits. personally i cant figure out how to gain decietful or paranoid.

so for anyone looking here for some traits, post in comments and if you know how to get traits post them too, ill update this while this happens. ill add some traits i know how to get and find useful.

hedonist / socializer:
carousing focus, do it 3 times and on the third time you should get a choise between these 2

Scholar:
Scholarship focus and go through the whole event chain after building an observatory in the intrigue menu

Brave:
One way i know how to get it is to join a warrior lodge and command your armies, then you get a bunch of battlefield duel events and one of them can give you brave, this can also get rid of craven.
(Note warrior lodges are a great way to get plenty of other useful traits aswell like patient and ambitious)

Cannibal:
spend time in seclusion until you run out of food and you can eat a courtier and gain this trait

Impaler:
Join the satanist cult with no life style traits, theres an event later to go and attack some peasants, go through with that event line

Just (or Arbitrary): if you have a low number of traits in total, you can get an event during a feast (some vassal kills a servant in anger, you get "Just" for imprinsoning him or "Arbitrary" if you let it slide)

Greedy + Chance for Deceitful: Business focus minted coins event (also gives 100 gold and prestige)

Brave: Scholarship focus (astronomy path) - don't give in when religious head demands that you stop the research (only available if your religion has a head)

all virutes, honest, content: Secluded Penance (any of the monastic societies). pretty strong overall. biggest downside is that it can replace ambitious with content (that of course sucks when it happens). i think you always get 1 virtue or other positive trait or lose 1 vice if you successfully finish the Penance. You can also get Erudite during the event if you figure out the difficult passage of the holy scripure on your own (still gives 100 piety if you already got Erudite in a previous penance)

Arbitrary: Expel the jews after you took a loan from them

Some of the old guides were pretty good but the game's changed so much no one's been able to keep up. Is the data all in text files? If so, one could write a script to parse the files and create a spreadsheet.

zealous is obtainable via scholarship astronomy -> choose to abandon your teachings at the very end (very usefull for martial rulers since it enables dueling vs excommunicated characters at least as christian)

paranoid is a 50% chance if you go culture route of scholarship (that star disappears when i look at it or sth)

rulership focus leads to just, ambitious, diligent and stressed/depressed (sometimes useful) and the administrator lifestyle trait

business leads to gardener or architect and the mint coin event leads to greedy / deceitful (i think)

intrigue focus leads to deceitful and impaler or master schemer lifestyle traits

actually there are lots of ways to obtain deceitful - even scholarship enables deceitful if you choose to lie to your relatives about what youre doing
