Reforming religion pros and cons?
Is there any negatives, I'm not sure what exactly happens, say like does it mean all pagan types unite or something, and will this mean I can no longer holy war them

Some of the inherent benefits of the pagan religion get lost (not all, check the wiki for wich exactly on wich religion), and a reformed pagan religion looses the defensive attrition it usually causes on their lands for everyone who isnt an unreformed pagan themselves (since that can be countered by building fortresses and ppl who have military organization 4+ don't suffer it anyway, that is a benefit that will loose its effectiveness later on anyway).
-You lose some bonuses, in particular the defensive attrition bonus (although the armies of Christianity and Islam will eventually get enough tech to negate the attrition anyway)

-Only your pagan religion gets reformed, the rest will stay unreformed until someone unites all their holy sites and reforms them

-Other members of your pagan religion may join the unreformed heresy, which can cause some pretty bad opinion penalties especially if they're your vassals

Only that you will not be able to reform it later down the line, and that heresies can now pop up.

I also suspect that the old version is nkt permanently a heresy while the reformed version is permanently the parent religion.

You will also automatically convert to the reformed religion, and a lot of your coreligionists will aswell. So you might have to spend sone resources on converting them back.

Also,
Reformed pagans are more resistant to conversion compared to the unreformed ones, so if yoi want to convert them to Christianity/muslimism/jewism etc... It will be harder

If you reform, what happens is that you create a new religion. if you have holy fury dlc, you will be able to choose a lot of the mechanics for the new religion. Without holy fury it will be a hybrid between the old version and Christianity, with some stats being different, like instead of garrison size you get more levy size, or reformed germanic doesn't have retinue points boost. This happens with holy fury as well, you will just be able to slap different mechanics to that religion.

The old version keeps all the mechanics it used to have before the reformation

I did it in the end, I cant really find any negatives at all, and I couldnt convert counties at all before, but reformed you can do them in weeks.

Yea the benefits are far greater, the drawbacks miniscule and yea converting gets a lot easier, since its highly dependant on the Moral Authority of the religion and reformed you get +20 from being an organised religion as well as a bonus from the piety and diplomacy of the religious head (unless you have none ofc).
