(which translates: go for low maintenance ships, raiding, war, etc. No peacefull stuff)

It depends on what you want out of the religion.

I'd probably go with:
Nature:
-Unyeilding: Bonus levy and garrison size is always nice. Also makes defending your land easier since you're going to get a major defensive bonus in provinces of your religion.

Doctrines:
-Sons of Ragnarok: It's the Germanic unique, may as well since prepared invasions are nice, and having cheaper ships and the ability to navigate rivers can be real nice, especially when you're based in Scandinvia where there is lots of ocean around.

-Meritocracy: Being able to choose your heir is great, makes it so you don't need to find a way to get rid of your inbred slow child so that you're strong genius child can inherit. You can just pick your best cantidate to be your heir.

Leadership:
-Temporal: It's just the best choice, no real reason not to choose it.

👌 Seems like right choices for me. I would probably choose proselytizing or warmongering for nature though.

Unyielding
stability
+ something else of your choice
Temporal OR hierocratic.

Prepared invasions are useless above 50 holdings which you personally cant use as a liege, so all it does is allow your duke vassals to invade france and break out from under you or constantly lose large chunks of MA due to half assed invasions.

If they do win then it leads to some of the most horrendous bordergore in the game.

But each to there own.

Whey you choose Ancestor Veneration, Temporal makes it so the character you just played can never be venerated. But other than that, yes, it's the best.

It seems a work around is making your heir the religious leader before you die. Not sure though.. never tried temporal not at all familiar with the mechanics. I googled about it and saw some info on it from reddit.

According to the wiki, reformed Germanic still gets a +30% to levy, but it is lost if you choose Unyielding, Unrelenting, or Amimalistic, so avoid any of those.

Warmongering fits in with the rest of the Germanic qualities.

For the traits, clearly Sons of Ragnorok should be one. Generally, Meritocracy is also pretty good.

Finally for leadership, most folks say choose temporal, but Hierocratic has benefits too. The leader will be your vassal, and you can make them excommunicate and give claims, so you can redistribute land and vassals as you see fit. If you play with Defensive Pacts, Great Holy Wars that you don't start don't contribute to Threat.

Ok that is really great to know. I am probably gonna go proselytizing because I started as Erik the Heathen and am only Germanic nation in the world. And really thinking about Autocephalic/Hierocratic vs. Temporal... Autocephalic and Hierocatic are practically as good as eachother, just realms get their own religious heads (maybe it's worse idk), and the excommunication and request claims is a nice bonus. And also not worrying about losing veneration if you die as religious leader.

Autocephalous is just a worse version of Hierocratic.
Each leadership type has its own perks:
Temporal being the best
Hierocratic having excommunication and claims
Autonomous having the different branches

But Autocephalous is just Hierocractic except your ability to excommunicate and ask for claims is restricted to your de jure kingdom. It's like if every kingdom had their own antipope, they're protected from any action you might try to take against them religiously.

Ah of course. Right. Well Temporal or Hierocratic it is.
