Absolute cognatic open succession but still no matrilinear marriage?
I played as a muslim character and as soon as I could I enacted full status of women law and switched to absolute cognatic succession. The tooltip for it (as well as for the agnatic-cognatic succession law) specifically says "religion now allows matrilinear marriage". Except the matrilinear marriage checkbox is still not present on the arrange marriage screen.:steamsad:

Have somebody else encountered this bug (it has to be a bug, right)? Maybe there is some workaround?..

I believe the Muslim religion does not allow women rulers or matrilineal marriages. I haven’t played as Muslim in a very long time so I may be wrong.

Hover over your religion icon on your character screen and it will give you the list of features.

Muslim does allow it only at i beleive notable status of women law or higher, but it also has to be allowed by BOTH courts, so if you asking someone in another muslim court to marry them/their courtiers/kids matrilineally, THEY would have to allow it on their side as well.

If both people are in your own court and it STILL wont work, then yes something is wrong.

As I mentioned, the tooltip for absolute cognatic succession law specifilcally says: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1605681226

It doesn't work neither with two people in my court, nor with characters of other religions (which allow matrilinear marriage). That's not the problem though, the matrilinear marriage checkbox isn't there at all. For example, I remember when playing Christians or Pagans I had muslims in my court and they refused to marry matrilineary (the button greyed out with big "no" above) but the checkbox was there.

I'm having the same issue, despite maxing out status of women and changing the succession laws. Has anyone heard any news of this? This post is months old and it would be such a simple fix, so I'd be surprised to find that Paradox hasn't done anything about it in all this time.
