Report a translation problem
The tutorial is more than a pain, it's almost useless, but they are a lot of excellent beginner guide on youtube.
That is or was Ireland in the 1066 start, as it's rather quiet and was the original tutorial country.
Made it more fun though with more counties.

Also Arumba as suggested above is useful, plus use of the wiki. Whever I get a WTF moment where I don't understand why something happened I check Youtube and the Stean guides, plus the wiki and then once I think I know what I'm doing I reload a to a year or two earlier.
As Valentine says if you save every few years (it autosaves every year anyway) you can experiment and see what works and what doesn't, so I'm learning as I go along.
