How can you make the pope gay?

Assuming you are serious with this question...

Homosexuality in this game is a trait that is almost exclusively gained before a character becomes an adult. So, since most popes are fairly mature by the time they get the title, it's highly improbable that he will get the trait. Now, if you have a homosexual bishop in your realm that makes it to the council of cardinals, I suppose you could throw A LOT of gold into the voting to make him the next pope. Good luck with that.

The only option I'm (sort of) aware of involves Monks and Mystics. IIRC, there's at least one event for Lucifer's Own which has a chance to give the cultist the Homosexual trait. I've only played with Devil Worshippers turned on once, so my memory might be faulty, but it's either one of the "ritual" events (where two random cultists have sex with one another, and if it's a same-sex pairing there's a chance one or both gets the trait) or one of the generic "I'm part of a Satanic Cult, Mwahaha!" events where you experience increased lust. For the latter event, I think the potential outcomes were Lustful (e.g. have more of the sex you're already having), Homosexual (start having sex w/ folks of the same gender) or Hedonist (do the really freaky stuff).

Of course, this is all premised on inducting the Spiritual Father of Catholic Christianity into a semi-secret Devil Cult. Once that's done, the fact that he prefers men probably wouldn't even be a blip on anyone's radar.

Theres a nother event for christian societies

If you choose to do a game/learn with someone for +2 skill increase you can choose to have more time with him and it CAN turn you both gay.
